The French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry write this book The Little Prince, It’s the most famous work of this novelist. This novel is the fourth most-translated book in the world. It’s the best 20th-century book in the France. Translated into 250 languages all over the world. Translated into English by Katherine Woods, T.V.F. Cuffe, and Irene Test-Ferry. First published in September 1943. More than 140 million copies sold around the world.
It’s a story of a pilot who is standing in the Sahara where he meets a small boy who came from another dessert. The said him he is the king and knows all knowledge. The small prince tells him about his planet and his life on the planet. It’s actually the children’s story. The opening of the story is an attempt at drawing. He wants to complete his drawing. The little prince asks him that draw a sheep for him. The little prince wants to repair his aircraft and tell him about living place on this planet. He wants to repair his craft and run out. In the end of the novel, the little prince asks that leave this planet as soon as possible bad after this the pilot remember him and saw stars in the galaxy and remember little prince.
About Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
He was a French writer and poet Born on 29 June 1900 in Lyon, France. And died on 31 July 1944. His writing active period is 1929 to 1944. He won several awards including U.S. National Book Award and literary awards. He was born into aristocratic Catholic family. He was third in five children. His father died when he is only four years old. His some of best work are Prix Femina (1929), U.S. National Book Award (1940) and Croix de Guerre (1940). He married Consuelo Suncín de Sandoval. He is known for children’s literature and Autobiography.
